Start a trial or buy a license
Create an account. Your license key appears in your account page.
Install the app
Download the version for your computer. No administrator rights are needed.
Follow the setup wizard
Choose a language, activate your license, sign in to Blackboard, add your courses and weekly times, and pick your preferences.
Start automation
The dashboard shows your next class and a countdown.
Before each class
The app opens the course a few minutes early, waits for the live session, joins, and stays until the end time you chose.
What your computer needs at class time
- Turned on and signed in to your user account.
- Awake: plugged in, with the lid open.
- Connected to the internet.
On Windows, the app can wake the computer from sleep before class if wake timers are allowed. macOS and Linux can't be woken without administrator access, so keep the computer awake on class days.
What the status means
| Joined (verified) | The app recognised the class room controls. You are in. |
| Waiting for instructor | Collaborate is holding you in a waiting room. You are not in yet. |
| Opened, not verified | The session opened but the room wasn't recognised. Check the class window. |
| Session not open yet | The instructor hasn't started the live session. The app keeps checking until the class ends. |
