Import your ODUS Plus schedule into 3NK at King Abdulaziz University
This guide is for King Abdulaziz University students who want to bring their registered courses and class times from ODUS Plus into 3NK's weekly schedule, so 3NK joins their online Blackboard Collaborate classes on time.
New, being tested. KAU is "Not verified yet" on the universities page: no student has tried 3NK with their own account there yet. The schedule import was built from a real ODUS Plus page a KAU student saved; signing in from 3NK's window hasn't been tried with a KAU account. Try it with the free trial before you buy.
Before you start
- The 3NK app, version 0.1.10 or later, from the download page.
- Your university email ending in @stu.kau.edu.sa for the free trial.
- Your ODUS Plus account, and Nafath or the authenticator app you use to sign in to KAU.
1. Sign in to Blackboard
KAU always asks for a second step after the password: Nafath, or a code from an authenticator app. Only you can complete it, so 3NK doesn't save or type your password. In Settings, press "Sign in now" and sign in on KAU's page as in your browser, ticking "Remember me" if it's offered. 3NK keeps the session encrypted on your computer and uses it for your classes until KAU ends it, then asks you to sign in again.
2. Import your courses from Blackboard
On the Courses page, press "Import from Blackboard" and choose this semester's courses, so 3NK can suggest each section's Blackboard course.
3. Import your schedule from ODUS Plus
On the Schedule page, the "University schedule (ODUS Plus)" card offers two ways:
In 3NK's window
- Press "Import Schedule from ODUS Plus", read what is read and where it's kept, and agree.
- KAU's sign-in page opens in a 3NK window. Sign in yourself with Nafath, or your password and code.
- Choose the semester on the Student Detail Schedule page. 3NK reads the page once it lists your courses, and waits up to 10 minutes.
From a page you save
- In your browser, open ODUS Plus › Student Detail Schedule and choose the semester.
- Save the page with Ctrl+S (⌘S on a Mac) as "Webpage, HTML only".
- In 3NK, press "Import from HTML file" and choose it. It's read on your computer only, never uploaded to 3NK's servers or kept.
4. Review, then apply
- Each section appears with its times: lectures and labs each at their own time, with the place and the semester's dates.
- Dropped sections aren't imported, and a time the page leaves open is yours to enter, never guessed.
- Nothing is added until you press Apply. If your schedule changes later, import it again: 3NK shows only what changed and keeps your own edits.
5. Automatic joining
- Imported times start with automatic joining off; you switch it on for each time.
- 3NK joins only classes whose place is Blackboard (online). Classes on campus appear in your schedule only and are never joined.
- Joining needs the section linked to its Blackboard course: 3NK suggests a course whose ID shows the same course and section, links it only after you confirm, and never links by name.
- 3NK doesn't join before the semester starts or after it ends.
If it doesn't work
- Try the saved-page way if the window doesn't work.
- Send the compatibility report from Settings, under "Compatibility at your university". It holds only your university, each step's result and the app version; that's how a university becomes "Supported".
- Tell us on the contact page; the refund policy explains your rights.
- 3NK is independent and isn't affiliated with King Abdulaziz University or Blackboard.
Try it on your own classes
The free trial runs for 7 days on one computer, with your university email and no card.
